Are you ready to listen? This music wants to talk. It's a cd where classic and modern spoken word is performed by wellknown writers (Allen Ginsberg), singers (Lou Reed) and actors (Richard Burton), but then reinterpreted in a fresh way to compose new and orginal music to each vocal performance. A kind of rap 2.0 but then created the other way around: first the text, then the music. You could also call it Spoken Word Goes Pop where poetry becomes a film- soundtrack, classic prose rap & rock and travelstories become jazz-noir or chamberpop. It's in fact the Music of Words. The cd was released on October 8th 2007 in the Benelux. It was released in the UK on April 14 2008 and in Germany on April 25 2008 to large critical acclaim (see under). The US release is now scheduled for October 14 2008. The album is now also available as digital download(s) at iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody, Amazon.com, Napster, OD2, T-online, on the myspaceprofile myspace.com/stephenrogeremmer and the label's own onlinestore (see here under). Be warned: when you listen to it you should really just buy some weed and plan on spending the entire afternoon on laying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, and propelling toward the furthest depths of imagination - a.k.a. stoned as hell." - Fantastic Weapon, USA "Occasionally, one stumbles across a record that is truly unique, imbued with some elusive and potent ingredient that propels it beyond the ordinary into an exclusive sonic stratosphere which other music cannot reach.
